A man and his dog.

Henry is completely obsessed with his little doggie. So much so, that this weekend he uttered his first sentence: Doggie walk outside?

So you better believe we took that doggie outside for a walk around the block.

For the past week or so, he has also been saying More...(insert word here of whatever he wants more of). Like in church, after sacrament, he'll say more...bread? He also says it when he just wants something, that maybe he hasn't already been eating. More cheese? More eggs? It's cool that he's able to communicate what he wants, but boy you'd better get it for him right away and not tell him we don't have any and we need to go to the store because darnit that answer is not good enough!

birthdays. let's eat some cake.

mary got not one, not two, but THREE birthday desserts yesterday. happy birthday to her! jenny and i teamed up to make peach cobbler and a sponge layer cake with chocolate frosting. holy moly, was it a lot of butter and sugar and ridiculousness.

just look at the strata of this cake!our little helper was on hand to eat cake scraps and peach slices.

we ate like royalty. nothing as nice as a sunday evening with family you love, especially when you have food like this to eat!

my sister is looking for a new doggie right now and its just tugging on my dog-lovin heart strings! so, without further ado, i submit to you my "i wish i could own this dog" post.

English Springer Spaniel. Look at that face. Oh, that face!

Vizsla. I love these dogs so much. They have the prettiest coats and pretty pink noses.

West Highland White Terrier. Fluffball.

French Bulldog. Those ears kill me every time.

Komodor. These dogs are so COOL.

Beagle. This one is for TH, who really loves cute little beagles. Aw.

Which pup would you choose? How about one of each and they can all live with me on my imaginary farm!

Apparently there was the 4th annual dog costume parade yesterday on the upper east side and i totally missed it. Gah. I can't believe my bad luck. Look at what I could've seen IN PERSON:Frat Boy Dog
