a nice day for a swiss wedding.

i want to share this beautiful wedding video with you. our great friend, josh brown, has made quite a name for himself on the wedding photography/videographer circuit, and with videos as stunning as this, it's no wonder. personally, i think the best video and photos he's taken was at our wedding (obvious bias), but this one comes in close second! i can't get over her amazing dress and that bouquet. feathers and diamonds? sign me up.

i don't think i ever posted about it, and i just re-discovered these pictures from lizzy q! ok, most of these pictures are just me in a pink dress with a girl i like, but let me assure you that there was tea, beautiful teacups and depression era glass plates (swooooon), and the most delicious food you've ever eaten. thanks to annie, cristy, and sierra for throwing me an unforgettable girly bridal shower!

i think my most favorite part was when cristy revealed an interview that she had done with TH, asking him all the typical questions - how did you guys meet...when did you know she was the one...etc. cristy produces a show on public radio, so she used her tools to splice and add music, and it is one of my most treasured possessions. i listen to it mostly when i'm traveling or when TH is out of town (like tonight).

dating + 3 years = marriage

did i ever tell you about the time TH introduced mei li to dave? well, it was about 3 years ago, and check it - we went to their beautiful wedding last weekend. now they are living it up in sunny south america, and we can't wait to hang out with them soon. the new mr. and mrs. congratulations you guys! and yes, we now consider ourselves expert matchmakers, so please let us know if you want to meet any of our friends. but please consider that it may take up to 3 years to marry. that's how we do around here.

they were so darling at our wedding, and because they live far away from each other (DC area, Richmond, VA, and Utah), they are always so excited to play with each other. it's always "(insert nieces name) is my best friend!"
i was glad to host the weekend giggle fest.

and next week i get to meet my newest little niece, evelyn! they're coming out in a week from utah. hooray!

mei and dave indulged me by letting me shoot some pictures of them yesterday in downtown dc with my new canon rebel t2i. it was so fun (but i still have a lot of work to figure out how exactly to use this camera of mine).

i love these people, and can't wait to be at their desert wedding in june!

you'll be seeing a lot of his work on this blog. we are buddies from new york and he is a nyc based wedding photographer. the stars aligned and he was able to shoot our engagements and wedding day. he did some video work that i might include on here, too.

we are so happy with how everything turned out and he captured so many memories for us! plus we felt like movie stars the entire weekend with his huge camera and assistants everywhere. hooray josh, we love you!

it all came together and in the end, nothing really mattered except the love particles floating EVERYWHERE. last weekend was the craziest celebration of love i've ever been a part of, and to think it was to celebrate the love I have for my dear mark!! (TH as we so endearingly call him here). our family and friends are the best - i'm convinced. i just don't know how i got so lucky to have them all in my life!

IT STOPPED SNOWING

praise be.

i can walk around like a semi-normal flabby person, i can take the metro to some above-ground stops, i can go to work!

i gained weight staying inside and baking cupcakes and watching movies and doing other laying around activities (minus the 4 hours spent shoveling snow - back muscles to prove it!). what's a bride-to-be to do? i'm supposed to LOSE 5 pounds before the wedding, not gain.

And a huge work meeting next week puts me out of commission for lots of working out. Then it's 2 weeks till the wedding. I've got a lot of work to do in the next 3 weeks!

Any tips for fast weight loss that doesn't make me drink lemon and spicy tea or other weird things? i know, i know, eat lots of big green salads, fish, and drink lots of water. oh yeah and work out. fine. i'll do it.
