the arcade fire always injects me with the shot of energy i need to get through the rest of the day. i didn't love their new album, the suburbs, on first listen, but some of the songs are growing on me. like this one. feel the kick at 1:45. love.
this one and "sprawl II (mountains beyond mountains)" were early favorites, but i seriously love the whole album now. the la's on "deep blue" always stick with me. oh and "modern man," even though there's not much to it, the wacky time signature has always kind of mesmerized me. what can i say, i'm a total fangirl.

ok, i used to HATE that song until i saw it live! there is a lot of oomph in this album, and i think i like it.
